Obesity is a chronic disorder that is associated with diseases. Obesity is a condition in which the weight exceeds the standard values for height and the accumulation of fat in parts of the body is more than normal. The most common method used to measure obesity is body mass index. World Organization Health defines a body mass index greater than or equal to 25 as overweight, a body mass index greater than or equal to 30 as obesity. Grade 1 obesity equals a body mass index of 30 to 35, and grade 2 obesity equals a body mass index of 35 to 40, and in grade 3 obesity, a body mass index greater than or equal to 40 is defined And grade 2 and 3 obesity is known as extreme obesity. Considering the prevalence of obesity and its complications in the world as well as in Iran, in recent years, the focus on the treatment of this disease has increased. Extensive studies have shown that obesity is the result of the interaction of factors such as genes, behavior and environment. Although a healthy lifestyle seems to be the ideal option for weight loss, surgical treatment remains the most efficient and scientifically successful method for people with obesity. excessive amount of fat tissue. According to the paradigmatic model, the underlying factors of bariatric surgery in individual, family-marital, cultural-social and health-oriented fields are considered to be the causal factors, the factors that cause a person's tendency towards surgical treatment It becomes obesity.
